Global Handwashing Day, coming up on the 15th of October, is an international initiative created to put a spotlight on the importance of implementing a healthy handwashing routine.
This year, Lifebuoy; as part of Unilever brightFuture integrated schools programme, in partnership with UNICEF and the Department of Education will be celebrating this prestigious day and highlighting the great success achieved through the Lifebuoy handwashing programme.
Lifebuoy’s School of 5, the world largest behaviour change programme, has to date reached over 2 million school children and 11 million South Africans in total. To further address the serious need for health and hygiene education, Unilever recently launched the Unilever brightFuture Health and Hygiene Schools Programme incorporating Lifebuoy, Domestos, Pepsodent and Omo, allowing Unilever to reach even more children and communities.
Unilever believes that children have the power to change the world and are encouraging them, via these educational initiatives, to spread the message by sharing what they have learnt in order to encourage their families and friends to develop healthy hygiene habits.
Join us on the 13th of October as we celebrate the first 1?550 children to graduate from the 21-day Integrated Schools Programme on Health and Hygiene and experience the Lifebuoy handwashing solution as demonstrated by the graduates.
